Virtual Program Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers of The Kennedy Forum Illinois programs are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Code of Conduct
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, technology choices, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, the use of sexual language and imagery, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome negative attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the program organizers may take any immediate action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, limiting their online engagement options, or expulsion from the program with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of program staff immediately. The most efficient way to do this is by contacting Tech Support (bottom left corner of your screen) who have direct access to the program organizers.
Program staff will take immediate action to cease the harassing behavior and ensure those experiencing harassment feel safe for the duration of the program.
Each participant is entirely responsible for their own actions and we expect them to follow these rules at all of our programs.
Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, stigma-free, friendly, collaborative space for all.
